April Sephora Makeup Haul
During April it is the Sephora VIB sale where Beauty Insider members get discounts on all their purchases for a few days. Depending on your Insider level you get either 10% or 15% off your shopping either online or in the store and you can use this as many times as you like during the sale period. Obviously there were some items I ‘needed’ so I ended up with a small haul of products using my 15% discount.
First on my list was the Anastasia Beverly Hills DIPBROW™ Pomade in Blonde. I had read of many other blondes choosing this product and it working well for them so I decided to give it a go. Many products made for blonde brows simply do not have the desired effect, many are too dark and look false and I have often found many have a orange tinge which is unflattering. I’m hoping this one works well. To go with this I purchased the ABH Brush #14. There is great debate as to whether the #12 or the #14 brow brushes are best and both get excellent reviews. I decided to go with the #14 as it is slightly smaller that the #12 and I felt I would get a more natural look with this one.
Next on my list was NARS Pro-Prime™ Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base which I absolutely love. You can read my review of this product here. I also purchased the Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Contour Brush. I already own many of Kat’s products including her Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette so thought I would treat myself to one of her few brush offerings (there are more to come according to her blog). Another KVD addition was the Studded Kiss Lipstick in Lovecraft.
Lastly I treated myself to an eyeshadow palette. I wanted one with some brighter colours that I could use to experiment with and after much debate settled on the Urban Decay Electric Pressed Pigment Palette. This is quite a bold choice, so I hope I like it.
