Ben Nye Aqua Glitter Review and Swatches
Everyone love a little sparkle sometimes and with Ben Nye’s Aqua Glitter you can have as much sparkle as you like, without all the mess of traditional glitter. This fabulous glitter comes in lots of different colours so you can sparkle to your hearts content.
I decided to test out nine of the Ben Nye Aqua Glitter shades which come in handy little 1oz pots with their own brush inside attached to the lid. The great thing about this type of glitter is you can achieve great results with as much or as little glitter effect as you want and it’s not nearly as messy as normal face/body glitter. Because the glitter is suspended in liquid you can build up the density you want and it pretty much stays where you put it. Going on as a liquid it dries to show all the glitter to its full effect and will stay there until you decide to wash it off.
One thing you do have to remember is this stuff settles in the bottle, so you have to shake it before using. I also suggest you insert a stick (I used the end of a thin makeup brush) into the pot and give it a stir. You will be surprised at how much of the glitter has settled into a stodgy goo at the bottom and how much more glitter you get once you dislodge it all and give it a good stir and shake. Do this often, as it settles really quickly.
Below I have swatches of the glitter on my arm. This is basically achieved by one swipe from the bottle straight onto my arm. You can obviously get a more translucent effect if you want it, likewise, you can get a good opaque look by adding layers after each dries.
I think you will agree that these glitters are really pretty and give a great effect.
