Eyeshadow Palettes I Wish I’d Bought: Kat Von D, Anastasia Beverly Hills & Ciate London

Eyeshadow Palettes I Wish I’d Bought: Kat Von D, Anastasia Beverly Hills & Ciate London

As a beauty blogger, I tend to be aware of many of the new palettes that hit the stores and therefore have no excuse for not buying ones that catch my eye. But sometimes, I decide not to but then later regret it. Looking back over the last few months there are three eyeshadow palettes that spring to mind that I really wish I’d bought.

Kat Von D - MetalMatte Eyeshadow Palette

I just have no excuse for not buying this one. I saw it online at Sephora and decided I didn’t need it. Now, this is true, I don’t need it, but now I can’t have it, I really want it. As this was a limited edition it is no longer available. Annoyingly, it did come back on Kat Von D’s website last month, but as a Canadian, I cannot buy from there, so my chance was gone.

As usual, Canadians seem to have fewer options to buy certain products and even when they are available in the US Sephora website, they are most likely unavailable in Canada. However, I cannot use that as an excuse for this product as it did appear, however fleetingly on the Canadian website, but I just didn’t pull the trigger. Oh well, I’ll put it down to experience.

Ciaté London x Chloe Morello Beauty Haul

This is probably my most frustrating miss. I have several Ciate London palettes and love them. They are great quality and this palette really appealed with all those beautiful shades. I never actually saw this available online at Sephora Canada. It may have been for sale at various times, just never when I looked. There was also no option to be emailed when it became available so that was really annoying. Then it disappeared from the site completely, only to return stating that it was unavailable in Canada.

I contacted Ciate London as asked why Canadians were seemingly being discriminated against and received a reply that the palette was available for Canadians on their website. I looked and indeed it was, but the exchange rate and the shipping charges just made it totally unviable. It’s now gone to limited edition heaven, so I’ll never know the pleasure of owning it.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette By Mario

This was a palette that caught my eye straight away. It has all the shades I normally love and I know I would have gotten a lot of use out of it. So why didn’t I buy it? I really don’t know. I saw it on the website, I even saw it in Sephora store but I just didn’t buy it. I thought I had enough of those sorts of shades so I could do without it. So for this one I really have no excuse. I didn't buy it, it was limited edition and now my chance has gone!

So, there you have it, three palettes I really wish I’d purchased but didn’t. On the plus side, I am nearly $200 CND better off, but there is still that nagging feeling that I missed out. What have been your nearly but not quite purchases?
