Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics Neapolitan Eyeshadow Palette Review, Swatches & Photos
This is an eyeshadow palette that I received in my August Ipsy Glam Bag. I had never heard of Jelly Pong Pong before but I looked them up and not only are they cruelty-free their products are also free of parabens and other additives.
This particular palette is list as:
- No Mineral Oils
- No Phthalates
- No Parabens
- With Gardenia Flower Extract
- With Coated Colour Pigments
These shadows come in a small white plastic palette that has the Paris skyline on the top. It weighs 0.1 oz which is quite small and I believe the palette you buy directly from Jelly Pong Pong is the same size and retails at $17.95. It is formulated in Italy, packaged in China and Distributed via the United Kingdom.
The ingredients are listed as: talc, mica, ethylhexyl palmitate, zinc stearate, silica, kaolin, gardenia tahitensis flower extract, phenoxyethanol. [+/- (may contain /peut contenir) titanium dioxide (CI 77891), iron oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 7499)].
The three colours in the palette are very pretty and shimmery but don’t appear to have individual names. Jelly Pong Pong state that “these velvety-smooth shadows are formulated with Gardenia Flower extract & micronized powder for an 8-hour lasting power, and are ultra-pigmented to perform wet or dry.”
I tried to show how shimmery they are in the swatches, but didn’t really do them justice, they are very shimmery. I personally don’t like my eyeshadows too shimmery as on my older eyes they really do emphasise fine lines, but for the purpose of this review, I did try it as you can see from the photos.
The eyeshadow went on very smoothly and I saw absolutely no fallout. They blend well, but I did keep having to add shadow as I felt it wasn't giving the best colour to start with. This might just be because they are so shimmery and depending on the light it can appear either darker or lighter that it truly is. I used the eyeshadow over Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer and I found it did last me all day (9 hours) before noticing some slight creasing, so very good.
As I mentioned these particular shades and shimmery formula aren’t really for me, but if you like these things then I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. I would love to try out some matte shades from Jelly Pong Pong as if they are as long-lasting and similar quality, they should be great.
