My July Ipsy Glam Bag Has Arrived
I finally have my hands on my very first Ipsy Glam Bag. Due to the potential Canada Post strike, I think Ipsy held back on the Canada bags and so it seemed like forever to wait for it to arrive, but here it is.
It arrived in a pretty bright pink bubble wrap bag and inside was a makeup bag, which according to Ipsy was “designed to capture the low-key, laid-back vibes of summer.” It is a sort of silvery holographic fabric with umbrella motifs on it. Inside the makeup bag were five deluxe sample sized items.
Reviving Eye Gel from Organic Surge
First is the Reviving Eye Gel from Organic Surge which comes in a small tube (10 ml, 0.33 fl.oz). I do like products that promise to help my poor old eyes, so we will have to see if this one lives up to it claims of “a miracle gel takes the fatigue off your eyes.” It is of course organic and is completely cruelty free, so that is a great start.
tre'StiQue Mini Highlight Stick
I have to confess to never having heard of this company, but apparently they produce functional 2-in-1 products. This is a mini sample (1.1 g) of the highlighter in Maldives Luminescent. I have had this type of highlighter before and to be honest I am not keen as applying it on top of foundation always seems to ruin it, but this product claims “it won’t mess up your makeup if you apply it on top.” We shall see!
theBalm Cosmetics Meet Matt(e) Trimony Eyeshadow
This is a 0.5 g sample in a little cardboard box with magnetic clasp and the shade I received is called Matt Moskowitz which is a matte plum. It says it is triple milled so is smooth and easy to blend and is cruelty-free. On first swipe it does seem to be quite well pigmented and smooth to apply. Of course the truth will be in the using, so again we will have to see.
ModelCo POWERLASH Black Mascara
This is a black mascara deluxe sample (3.5 g, 0.12 oz) and is cruelty-free. It claims to be flake-free and last and last. I will test it for a few days and make my own mind up.
Luxie Beauty Luxie Rose Gold Small Angle Eye Brush 215
Another brand I had not heard of before, but researching them I found them to be cruelty-free and this brush is also vegan. I haven’t tried the brush yet, but it feels okay, firm but soft and of course it has a pretty pink handle. Once I have used it a few times I will report back.
So, there it is, my Glam Bag for July. I am pretty pleased with my items and look forward to trying them out over the next few days and weeks. Once I have, I will, of course, review them for you.
