My October Ipsy Glam Bag Has Arrived
As I was late reviewing my September Glam Bag, I seem to have received my October Glam Bag really quickly. Not that I am complaining! Last months was very disappointing for me, so I was really hoping this month would be better and I believe it is.
This month the theme is Black Magic as it is halloween month. The makeup bag is surprisingly pink, I thought it might be black! However, I was not disappointed as it is decorated with black and white images of witches, fangs, spell books and crystal balls to name but a few. Very nice design. So what did I get inside my October Glam Bag?
MAKE UP FOR EVER - Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation
I have never used this product before so I was quite excited to receive this. I am very pale and I was correctly sent the palest sample option available according to the Ipsy website which is Ivory R230. From the bottle, it looks like it is going to be too dark for me, but I will still try it out as I want to see how well this performs. Depending on how well the trial goes, there are five more shades lighter than my sample, which might suit me better.
essence cosmetics - superfine eyeliner pen waterproof
essence is another brand I have never used before, but I have heard good things about this inexpensive and cruelty-free range. The first thing that struck me about this product was the beautiful bright blue wording on the eyeliner tube. It really stands out. The second thing, after pulling off the lid, was the length of the eyeliner tip. It is a felt tip end that is very long and fine and is waterproof and smudge-proof.
Lottie London - Perfectly Precise Eyeshadow Brush
I’ve never even heard of the brand Lottie London before, so this will be interesting. First off the brush is a beautiful deep fuchsia pink colour, and in my eyes, you cannot go wrong with pink! The brush end feels very dense and incredibly soft. I love brushes, so I can’t wait to try this out.
tre'StiQue - Matte Lip Crayon
This product was sent out in two shades, either in Belize Bordeaux or Florence Fig. I got Belize Bordeaux which is a deep wine and looking at the Ipsy site this product gets very good reviews, so I can’t wait to try it out.
Pūr~lisse - Daily Lip Nourisher with Mango and Shea Butters
Last, but not least the last item I received was this lip nourisher. I says to use under lipstick or lip gloss for a smoother application and colour boost. Another interesting product as I do suffer from dry lips, especially in the harsh Canadian winter, so will definitely be giving this a run for its money.
Once I have given each of these product a good trial I will report back my findings, be they good or bad. So stay tuned….
