tarte LipSurgence™ Lip Crème Review, Swatches and Photos

I like tarte products, so when I received this sample of LipSurgence Lip Creme I was very happy. The shade I got was called wonder and weighs .056 oz. Tarte sells the full-size 3g / 0.1 oz. LipSurgence for $31 CND, so this half size sample was great value as part of my Ipsy August Glam Bag

Tarte describes the product as “the lip crème de la crème – an ultra-moisturizing, full coverage lip crème providing a rich, creamy color veil with a luxurious texture.” I would definitely agree that it is moisturising and creamy in texture. It glides on like a dream and does give good full coverage.

The shade I received was called wonder and described as poppy. It is red, but I would say with pink undertone. I would guess that depending on the skin tone it is applied to the colour density could appear different. On me, being very fair, it came across on the pink side, a darker skin may bring out more of the red. Overall a very pretty shade that I could easily wear.

I wore this for several hours before it started to wear off and only then after drinking. It did leave a considerable amount of product on my cup and I had to reapply after. However, overall I really like this lipstick and would like to try some of the other shades available. Currently, there are only four shades:

wonder (poppy)
serene (apricot pink)
illusion (rose berry)
empowered (soft pink)

I would definitely buy this tarte LipSurgence again and as long as you don’t mind reapplying after eating and drinking (or kissing) then it is great.
