Urban Decay’s Brand New Naked Ultimate Basics Palette
There are not many makeup collections that don’t contain at least one Urban Decay Naked palette. After all, there are quite a few to choose from now, so is there room for one more? Of course there is, and the new Naked Ultimate Basics Palette shouldn’t disappoint.
As with previous Naked palettes, this one contains 12 pans of eyeshadow, but unlike the Naked, Naked 2, Naked 3 and Naked Smoky, this one is a completely different shape. All the other Naked palettes, including the two smaller six-pan Naked Basics have been in rectangular palettes, this one is square - yes, that’s right, I said square!
This week Urban Decay teased us with an image on Instagram saying “You asked for it…” To add to the intrigue Urban Decay founder added the following posts:
“The ultimate range of matte neutrals. Done the Naked way.”
“12 all-new exclusive shades of Eyeshadow.”
"Welcome the newest member of the Naked lineup...Naked Ultimate Basics!!
What could she mean? What were Urban Decay up to now?
Well, now the secret is out, they will be launching the new Naked Ultimate Basics Palette on September 18th for a retail price of $55 USD.
I love the fact that all the shades in this palette are matte and just look at the palette they come in - it’s gold! Every shade is new, not borrowed from another palette, although they are designed to compliment the other palettes so they can be used with them if you want. The palette also comes with a double-ended brush.
The top six shades are the lightest of the palette:
Blow - light nude demi-matte
Nudie - soft pink-nude
Commando - light taupe-brown
Tempted - pale brown
Instinct - medium pink-taupe
Lethal - reddish brown
The bottom six shades are darker:
Pre-Game - pale yellow
Extra Bitter - burnt orange
Faith - medium warm brown
Lockout - rich neutral brown
Magnet - light-blue gray
Blackjack - warm black
Just look at these and tell me you don't have to have it!
